Air Source Heat Pumps

When it comes to providing domestic heating and hot water solutions which satisfy these demands in every way, innovative new Greensource air source heat pumps from Worcester, Bosch Group more than measure up.

By converting the free and sustainable latent energy that’s in the air all around us into heat, the Greensource system delivers green, low-cost, energy-saving heating and hot water all year round.

Utilising the latent energy in the air: a sustainable solution

Air – even cold air – is a constant and inexhaustible source of energy, and Worcester Greensource heat pumps work very effectively in outside temperatures as low as -20ΊC.

What’s more, this advanced technology is well proven in Scandinavia and other parts of Europe. So it’s more
than suited to the UK’s comparatively mild winters and is a highly efficient heating and hot water solution
whatever the season. Installation is a relatively simple matter too.

Energy-saving options to provide heat all round

The new Worcester Greensource range offers a choice of two systems: air to air or air to water, both producing significant savings compared with a conventional heating system.

Air to air heat pumps are an excellent choice where external space is limited as they require nothing more than a suitable outside wall. This makes them ideal for a wide range of property types, particularly those with open plan designs.

Greensource air to water is ideal for low-temperature central heating such as underfloor but works equally with oversized radiators with flow rates up to 65ΊC. A choice of 3 models with outputs of 6 – 9.5kW is available together with an internal hot water cylinder with a capacity of of 151 litres.

Greensource air source heat pumps also come with a comprehensive, 2 year* warranty – a reassurance of all the built-in quality and reliability for which Worcester and Bosch are renowned.

Air to Water Heat Pumps

By converting the energy from the outside air into heat and transferring the heat to water so it can then be used with an existing style central heating system, Greensource air to water heat pumps are ideal for providing low cost heating throughout the year.

This gives the advantage of connecting the heat pump to a new or existing wet system to provide the hot water for heating. As Greensource air to water heat pumps provide an outgoing flow temperature of 65ΊC, they are ideally suited for underfloor heating or oversized radiators.

Features

• Energy efficient – COP* of up to 4
• Maximum 65ΊC outgoing temperature
• Works down to outdoor temperatures of -20ΊC
• Suitable for use with underfloor heating and oversized radiators
• Indoor integrated cylinder
• Easy to install and maintain
• Designed for connection to all types of wet heating systems
• Auto defrost function
• Proven technology that saves you money
• No ground-works required

Air to Air Heat Pumps

The Greensource air to air heat pump converts the energy from the outside air into heat using the same technique as air to water heat pumps and then circulates warm air internally to provide a comfortable temperature inside the home.

Where space is limited, Greensource air to air heat pumps are an attractive alternative for providing energy efficient heating as the only space requirement is an external wall, making them ideal for apartments and smaller homes.

As an extra benefit, Greensource air to air heat pumps can also operate as an air cooler and purifier using Plasmacluster Ion-technology.

Features

• Energy efficient – COP of up to 4
• Compact design requiring only an outside wall
• Suitable for a wide variety of property types, including apartments and conservatories
• Quiet operation
• Easy to install and maintain
• Display with indoor/outdoor temperature
• High efficiency in all temperature ranges
• Can be used to provide cool air in the summer
• Active Ion-technology air purification, ideal for allergy sufferers
• Auto defrost function
• Proven technology that saves you money
